As Group A runners-up, Modern Future FC advanced to the next round with 11 points, just two points behind the group leaders, USMA of Algeria, who also defeated SuperSport United 2-1 on Sunday.

The scoring began in the 22nd minute when midfielder Ali Zaazaa found the back of the net.

Forward Mohamed Sadek then doubled the lead shortly before halftime.

In the second half, striker Ahmed Atef added a third goal ten minutes in, solidifying their victory.

Jonathan Ngwem extended the lead to 4-0 in the 74th minute, and Atef completed the rout with two minutes remaining.

Having finished second in their group, Modern Future FC may potentially face their fellow Egyptian club, Zamalek, in the quarterfinals.

Zamalek secured their place in the same round after finishing at the top of Group B.
