The fixture between Ahly and Enppi in the 16th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League, initially set for 15 March, has been postponed upon the request of the national team coach Hossam Hassan, the Egyptian Pro League announced on Thursday.

Hassan, who recently took charge of the Pharaohs, requested the postponement due to a scheduling conflict with the team's training camp in the UAE, in preparation for an international friendly tournament scheduled between 22 and 26 March.

The national team coach has previously requested the rescheduling of league matches after 12 March, intending to utilize the international break for an extended training camp to familiarize himself with the players and implement his strategies.

As a result of the postponement, the matches between Gouna and Zamalek as well as NBE Club and Ahly, which were originally planned for 12 March, will now serve as the final league matches before the international break.

Egypt's national team will kick off their participation in the friendly tournament against New Zealand on 22 March. The winner of that match will proceed to face the victor of the Tunisia-Croatia clash on 25 March.

Enppi currently hold the top position in the Egyptian Premier League standings with 26 points from 15 games, while reigning champions Ahly sit in 10th place with 17 points from only seven matches, primarily due to their commitments in continental competitions.
