Meanwhile, Ahly is gearing up to face Tanzania's Simba in the knockout stage of the CAF Champions League on Friday, away from home.

Unfortunately, the Red Devils are grappling with the absence of their talented attacking midfielder, Emam Ashour, who sustained a shoulder injury while on national team duty.

Komsan acknowledged the significance of Ashour's absence, stating, "We have lost an important member of our team due to the injury."

Ahly is also grappling with the challenge of player fatigue.

Ten key players from the Ahly squad were on the Egypt national team, led by newly appointed coach Hossam Hassan.

"We have more players who played two full games, each lasting 90 minutes, and it has taken a toll on them," Komsan said.

However, he emphasized that representing the national team while wearing the Ahly jersey is a responsibility the players willingly embrace.

During the March camp, the national team played two friendlies as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

They secured a 1-0 victory over New Zealand but suffered a 4-2 defeat to Croatia, with the majority of Ahly players participating in both matches.

Looking ahead, Komsan expressed hope for improved cooperation in future training camps, emphasizing the unity behind Egypt and coach Hossam Hassan.

Nevertheless, he stressed the significance of representing Ahly, a team that boasts an impressive record of trophies in Africa and the world.

"We aspire to achieve a positive result in Tanzania and secure our qualification from there," Komsan said, stressing Ahly's determination to progress in the CAF Champions League.
