The White Knights, eyeing their second Confederation Cup title and their first since 2019, hold a 2-1 lead from the first leg.

The winner of this match will face the victor of the clash between Stade Malien from Mali and DREAMS FC from Ghana in the semi-finals.

Modern Future FC could make history by reaching the semi-finals of the African tournament for the first time.

"We deserved the victory despite squandering numerous scoring opportunities," Zamalek coach Jose Gomes said after the win on Sunday.

" I'm not entirely satisfied with our performance on Sunday but our players are capable and determined to win the Confederation Cup title," he added.

The White Knights boast an impressive winning record against Modern Future, winning all six previous encounters since Future FC's promotion to the domestic league in the 2021-2022 season.

However, Zamalek will be without the services of their winter signings: Nasser Maher, Abdallah El-Said, and Seif Farouk Gaafar, who are ineligible to participate in the African Confederation Cup due to their involvement with their former teams in ongoing CAF tournaments.
