The Egyptian giants are set to face the Congolese club in Lubumbashi this Saturday, aiming for a clean sheet to set the stage for a triumphant return leg in Cairo.

“We have analyzed Mazembe’s game with precision, identifying their strengths and weaknesses. Our goal is to score while keeping our defence impenetrable to secure an advantageous position for the second leg.” Taher said on Ahly’s official website.

“We’ve faced numerous challenges over the years and have consistently proven our resilience. Reaching the semi-finals is a familiar territory for us, and we’re here to deliver a performance worthy of our legacy,” Taher added.

The Red Devils are well aware of the heightened competition they face on the continent.

“Every team brings their best game against us, but we have the experience and the skills to surpass this phase and aim for the final once again,” Taher confidently asserted.

With the first leg in Congo and the return match scheduled for April 25 at the Cairo Stadium, Ahly’s campaign is at a critical juncture. The team’s progression to the semi-finals came after a decisive victory over Tanzania’s Simba SC, while Mazembe secured their spot by defeating Angola’s Petro Atletico.
