Zamalek needs a fair game that allows the better side to win when they face Moroccan side RS Berkane in the second leg of the Confederation Cup final return leg in Cairo on Sunday, said coach José Gomes.

" I want to see fairness during the game and let the better side on the pitch win,” the 53-year-old Portuguese tactician stressed in the pre-match press conference on Saturday.

Zamalek need a one-goal victory in Cairo after losing the first leg in Morocco 2-1 to claim their second Confederation Cup title.

"For us, tomorrow's game is the second half in a 180-minute game,” he added.

“We know that Zamalek is a bigger club than RS Berkane - and the supporters know that fact well - but that doesn’t mean that the Moroccan side is not a good team."

“I respect RS Berkane, its players, and the technical staff," stressed Gomes, who has been at the helm of the White Knights since February of this year.

“Our opponents were the better side at the start of the first leg game and they scored twice, but we restored the balance and managed to score a goal."

Gomes said Zamalek playing at home does not guarantee victory since RS Berkane have their points of strength.

"However, we are looking forward to win on aggregate to clinch the title and please our fans."
