The White Knights bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Ittihad of Alexandria before the international break, following a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Smouha and a 1-1 draw with Modern Future FC.

Zamalek's inconsistent results have prevented them from climbing higher in the league standings since they are currently in 12th with 28 points from 17 games.

They trail league leaders Pyramids FC by a significant 28-point margin, although Pyramids have played five more matches.

Zamalek's challenge has been intensified by the absence of key players, including midfielder Ahmed Hamdi who suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during the Confederation Cup final against RS Berkane of Morocco and will be out for several months.

Additionally, veteran captain Mahmoud "Shikabala" Abdel-Razek is yet to recover from a muscular injury, while defender Ahmed Fatouh and Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri sustained injuries while on international duty.

On the other hand, Ceramica Cleopatra will be eager to regain their winning form, as they enter the game following a 3-2 loss to Enppi, their second defeat in their last five games.

Ceramica Cleopatra, who are currently in the seventh spot with 34 points from 23 games, will be looking to capitalize on their home advantage to upset Zamalek and improve their position in the league table.

They have struggled against Zamalek, losing all six of their previous encounters in the league.
