Ahly's board have decided again to postpone resuming training sessions until next Saturday as the ongoing protests in Egypt haven’t settled yet.
The Red Devils' return to action was postponed from Monday to Wednesday, but the club management preferred to wait again, especially since the Portuguese coach Manuel Jose Da Silva has not returned to Cairo yet.
“The team will resume training sessions on Saturday. Jose's arrival has also been postponed until Saturday because of the current flight delay,” Ahly’s football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz was quoted as saying by Al-Ahram.
“All players will be available for Saturday's training. We are waiting for the announcement of the Egyptian Premiere league return date to arrange our preparations for the coming period,” he added.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is supposed to announce the future of the Egyptian league, which was postponed due to the ongoing events.
Ahly are fifth in the league table with 26 points, six behind their arch-rivals Zamalek who are in the lead.
