Leaders Pyramids FC claim 10th successive win after defeating Smouha 3-0

Pyramids FC's winning streak in the domestic league continues as the club earned their tenth successive victory by beating Smouha 3-0 in a delayed league game at Air Defense Stadium on Thursday.

South African striker Fagrie Lakay opened the scoring in the 18th minute, while Mostafa Fathi doubled the lead just six minutes later.

In the 68th minute, second-half substitute Fiston Mayele completed the rout, bringing his league goal tally to nine so far.

Smouha had a penalty opportunity, but Pyramids FC goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawi denied Hossam Hassan's shot from the spot just before the break.

This victory allowed Pyramids FC to cement their place at the top of the league with 56 points from 23 games. They are seven points ahead of second-placed Masry, who have played one more match.
