The win extends Zamalek's unbeaten record against Ceramica, having won all eight of their previous meetings across all competitions.
However, victory did not come easy for the White Knights, who were made to fight for every point.
After a cagey opening, Ahmed Ramadan put Ceramica ahead in the 26th minute with a header from a corner.
Zamalek responded with urgency, hitting the woodwork twice through Omar Gaber and Ahmed Sayed "Zizo" before the break.
The second half saw Zamalek take control of the game.
Veteran playmaker Abdallah El-Said, a winter transfer window signing, opened his scoring account for the club with a powerful strike from outside the box in the 80th minute.
It was his first goal in more than six months, since scoring for Pyramids FC on 28 November 2023 against Ismaily.
Substitute Ibrahima Ndiaye then secured the win with a late header from El-Said cross in the 89th minute.
The result sees Zamalek climb to 11th place in the standings with 31 points from 18 matches. Ceramica remain in ninth place with 34 points from 24 games.
