Ahly will be looking to extend their sixth-game winning streak in the Egyptian League against Dakhleya in a postponed match from the 12th matchday on Friday as they push to defend their title.

Ahly vs Dakhlia

The Red Devils, the reigning Egyptian Premier League champions, are currently third in the league standings with 39 points from 17 games.

However, they are pushing their way slowly towards the top of the table with seven games in hand as they trail behind league leaders Pyramids FC, who have 59 points from 24 games.

On the other side, Dakhleya, face a daunting task against their Red Devils superiors as they try to bounce back from a recent string of losses which left them at the bottom of the table with 15 points.

In Friday's match, Ahly will be without midfielder Omar Kamal, who suffered a muscle injury during the team's 1-0 win over Ittihad of Alexandria earlier this week.

Moreover, Palestinian striker Wessam Abou Ali and South African winger Percy Tau remain sidelined due to injuries.

On Tuesday, the Red Devils will play Zamalek in the 27th matchday of the league in the Cairo derby.

The reigning champions will be looking to avenge their rare defeat to their arch-rivals in the first round of the league competition.
