Sari will replace resigned coach Tarek El-Ashri who left his post on Monday following his side’s 1-0 loss to Pharco FC.
The defeat against Pharco FC was the third in a row and the fourth in the team’s last five games.
Sarri’s contract with Ittihad Alexandria will run until the end of this season.
Ittihad of Alexandria who lie ninth in the league table with 36 points from 27 games will host bottom side Dakhleya on Saturday in Sari’s first appearance with the club.
