The reigning Champions League winners, Ahly, will lock horns with the Confederation Cup holders, Zamalek, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Red Devils claimed their 12th Champions League title after defeating Tunisian side Espérance, while the White Knights won their second Confederation Cup title with victory over RS Berkane of Morocco.
However, specific details regarding the venue and kick-off time are yet to be announced.
"The partnership between CAF and Saudi Arabia underscores the strong relationship and shared commitment of both parties," CAF President Dr. Motsepe said.
"We eagerly anticipate a thrilling Super Cup final featuring Al Ahly and Zamalek, two of Africa's most popular and successful teams," he added.
Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority President, Turki Alalshikh, echoed the sentiment: "We are delighted to host the African Super Cup during Riyadh Season. This prestigious tournament showcases two footballing giants from our sister nation, Egypt. We anticipate a competitive match that lives up to the hype."
This is not the first time Riyadh has hosted a clash between the Egyptian rivals, since Ahly emerged victorious in the Egypt Cup final played in the Saudi capital, defeating Zamalek 2-0 back in March.
However, their most recent encounter in the Egyptian Premier League was marred by controversy, since Zamalek's refusal to participate in the match on the 27th matchday resulted in a 2-0 walkover victory for Ahly.
Ahly, boasting a record eight CAF Super Cup titles, will be seeking to add another trophy to their cabinet.
The Red Devils are no strangers to playing in Riyadh, having secured a third-place finish at the FIFA Club World Cup held there in December.
