After a disappointing goalless draw against Baladeyet El-Mahalla on Monday, the White Knights are eager to regain their winning form.
In their most recent outing, Zamalek secured a commanding 5-2 victory over second-tier side Proxy SC in Round of 32 of Egypt Cup at Cairo Stadium on Thursday.
They will be looking to carry that momentum forward as they face Dakhleya.
Zamalek's influential duo, veteran forward Mahmoud "Shikabala" Abdel-Razek and Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri, could make a return to the squad for Sunday’s game.
Shikabala has been recovering from a muscular injury that sidelined him since the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semifinal against Dreams FC of Ghana in April.
Meanwhile, Jaziri has been out of action for a month due to a hamstring injury suffered while on national team duty for the African 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
On the other side, Dakhleya can't afford to drop more points as they need to seal a fightback in order to survive in the top tier.
Currently sitting at the bottom of the league standings with 19 points from 30 games, Dakhleya will be eager to cause an upset and claim valuable points against their formidable opponents.
Zamalek currently occupy sixth place in the league standings, having accumulated 42 points from 26 games, with four matches in hand.
