Midfielders Mohamed Barakat and Hossam Ashour will be ready for Ahly's match with Zamalek in the African Champions League on Sunday despite carrying minor injuries, according to the club doctor.

"Ashour suffered a minor injury during training but he will be available for the game against Zamalek," Dr Ehab Ali was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"Barakat is suffering from a back muscle strain that sidelined him from Wednesday's training session but he will be available for the Cairo derby," he added.

The six-time African champions will prepare for the upcoming match against their arch-rivals Zamalek with a closed training camp two days before the game.

Ahly have already qualified for the semi-finals, while Zamalek were eliminated with only one point from five games.

Ahly, who are currently second in Group B on goal difference behind group leaders TP Mazembe, are looking to win Sunday's clash to top the group and avoid a difficult semi-final against Group A leaders Esperance de Tunis.
