The Cairo giants regained the league summit on Friday after defeating Masry 1-0 to go top with 69 points on level with Pyramids FC who played three matches more.

Meanwhile, Ceramica Cleopatra occupies the 8th place with 44 points from 30 games.

Ahly will be without key players on Tuesday such as injured winger Ahmed Abdel-Kader and Malian midfielder Alio Dieng who left the team to join the Saudi League.

Red Devils coach Marcel Koller heaped praise on his players' determination which helped the team claim 15 consecutive wins despite busy fixtures.

“Ahly achieved a hard-earned victory despite the demanding schedule thanks to the players' dedication,” Swiss coach Marcel Koller praised the team's resilience.

Koller also acknowledged the challenges posed by the congested fixture list, remarking, “The team is feeling the strain of the crowded schedule as we’ve had to play numerous games in a short period, which has taken its toll on everyone.”

In their previous meeting in September 2023, Ahly emerged victorious against Ceramica Cleopatra with a 2-1 scoreline on the second matchday of the ongoing Egyptian Premier League season.
