ENPPI handed Zamalek their first league loss this season by defeating the White Knights 2-1 last October.

Zeyad Kamal, who later joined Zamalek in January, opened the scoring for ENPPI, but Ahmed 'Zizo' Sayed equalized before Ahmed Amin secured the victory for the Petroleum side.

Kamal and 'Zizo' will be unavailable for Zamalek as they are participating with the Egypt U-23 team in the ongoing Olympics.

Zamalek coach Jose Gomes often provides opportunities for youth players in league matches and has chosen to rest some players for this game.

Goalkeeper Mahmoud El-Shennawy, defender Ahmed Magdy, and midfielders Mohamed El-Sayed, Hassan Abou El-Maati, and Hazem Ossama featured in the match against Gouna, where Zamalek secured a 1-0 victory on Friday.

Zamalek currently are fifth in the league table with 49 points from 30 games, and a win against ENPPI could propel them to third place.

On the other hand, ENPPI will be eager to end their five-game winless streak (3 draws and 2 defeats),

with their last victory dating back to June when they secured a narrow 1-0 win over Gouna. the club has dropped to ninth place with 43 points from 31 games.
