Zamalek's Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi has been fined $10,000 for his absence from the team trainings without permission.

"Zamalek management decided to fine striker Razak Omotoyossi $10,000 after his long absence and neglecting the team's demands to return to Egypt," read a statement on Zamalek's official website.

The 26-year-old striker didn't attend the Whites' trainings since the game against Mazembe in the fourth round of the CAF Champions League.

The Cairo giants Zamalek signed Omotoyossi on a three-year contract coming from Swedish counterpart Syrianska FC.

Benin striker Omotoyossi, who took part in both the 2008 and 2010 African Cup of Nations, revealed that he won't return to Egypt if he does not receive outstanding unpaid wages from last season that was canceled after Port Said massacre.

Zamalek owe the 26-year-old striker some $70,000 from the last campaign.
