Abou Ali, the 25-year-old key player for the Palestinian national team, reflected on their performance at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, saying, "I hope we pleased the Palestinian people.”

“We gave our best performance to secure points, but it wasn't possible today," he added.

"We worked hard and earned a point. I am confident that the Palestinian people are proud and happy. We aim to win the next game," the Palestinian star said.

Next, Palestine will face Jordan in the qualifiers away from home, due to the ongoing war on Gaza, at Malaysia's KLFA Stadium on Tuesday.

Egypt’s Ahly signed Danish-Palestinian striker Wessam Abou Ali from Swedish club IK Sirius in January to strengthen their attacking lineup.

Abou Ali, who clinched the Egyptian League's top scorer award with 18 goals in 19 appearances for the Red Devils, expressed his pride by wearing the Reds jersey.

"Winning the Egyptian League's top scorer award and securing titles like the Egyptian League and the CAF Champions League means a lot to me. I am a devoted supporter of Ahly and eager to continue contributing there," Abou Ali stated.

Looking ahead, Abou Ali anticipates his debut in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup with Ahly after their continental triumph.

"Participating in the FIFA Club World Cup will be an incredible journey," he remarked.
