The Dervishes' management bid farewell to Gharib shortly after his appointment, as the club sought a new coach following the passing of Ehab Galal on 11 September.
"Ismaily management expresses gratitude to coach Shawky Gharib, as both parties were unable to finalize the agreement to lead the football team," the club stated in a release on Saturday.
Additionally, Ismaily revealed that former assistant coach Hamad Ibrahim, a familiar face at the club, would now take charge as the head coach.
The 51-year-old Ibrahim previously served as an assistant under the leadership of Galal.
Ismaily, a three-time Egyptian Premier League champion, has encountered challenges in recent seasons, grappling with financial and administrative hurdles.
Their struggle culminated in a close call with relegation last season, finishing 14th in the 18-team league under Galal's guidance.
