The defending champions, Zamalek, have been placed in the same group as their compatriots Masry, along with Nigerian side Enyimba and Black Bulls Maputo from Mozambique.
In the previous edition, Zamalek found themselves in the same group as fellow Egyptians Modern Future FC, ultimately advancing to claim the title while Modern Future were eliminated from the group stage.
"We will have the advantage of playing four games at home," Zamalek official Amr Abou A-Ez told BeIN Sports following the draw on Monday.
"I am confident that we will progress to the next round alongside Masry."
In the last four Egyptian League encounters between the two sides, Zamalek have struggled to overcome Masry, losing three matches and drawing one.
However, Masry's coach, Ali Maher, remains optimistic about his team's capabilities to navigate through the group stage.
"We are well aware of Zamalek's strengths, and they are familiar with ours," Ali Maher told Masry's official website.
"Our objective is to advance to the next round, regardless of our opponents."
With two Confederation Cup titles in 2019 and 2023, Zamalek boasts a strong track record in the competition.
On the other hand, Masry’s best performance date on 2018 when they advanced to the semi-finals before being eliminated after losing to Vita Club 4-0.
