The draw for the upcoming season took place last Saturday, revealing a new format featuring two stages.
Defending champions Ahly will launch their title defence against Ceramica Cleopatra in the inaugural match at the Cairo International Stadium.
Later, they are set to face last season's runners-up, Pyramids FC, in the 10th matchday.
On the other hand, Zamalek will embark on their campaign against NBE Club at the Cairo Stadium and are scheduled to confront Pyramids FC on the 11th matchday.
"The Egyptian Premier League will kick off on 30 October 2024, and conclude on 30 May 2025, with the League Cup wrapping up on 10 June 2025, marking a crucial developmental phase," EPL president Ahmed Diab emphasized the season's timeline.
In a strategic move, the league will adopt a single-round format involving all 18 clubs, with the top nine teams advancing to compete for the title.
The remaining clubs will battle to determine the two teams facing relegation.
In a significant shift, the league has opted to decrease the number of relegated teams from three to two.
Consequently, the upcoming season will span 25 weeks instead of the traditional 34, effectively shortening the season by approximately two months.
