Ahly defender Mohamed Naguib has received full medical clearance to resume trainings, which makes him available for the CAF Champions League semifinals against Nigerian side Sunshine Stars after recovering from his groin muscle injury.

"Naguib joined Friday's trainings and he will be fit for the Sunshine Stars game," Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz was quoted as saying on Ahly's official website.

The 27-year-old defender, who joined Ahly from Ittihad El-Shorta last season, was out of action in the Red Devils' last three games against Congolese side TP Mazembe, ENPPI and Zamalek because of a groin muscle injury.

The six-time African Champions will travel to Nigeria on 4 October to face Sunshine Stars in the first-leg of the Champions League semi-final.

Title holders Esperance of Tunisia take on four-time winners TP Mazembe of the DR Congo in the other semi-final clash.
