Ahly currently sit in second place in the Egyptian League standings with 11 points, trailing Zamalek by three points, following the latter's recent victory over Ittihad of Alexandria.

The Cairo giants will be without several key players for the upcoming match, including first-choice goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy, winger Mahmoud Kahraba, and midfielder Youssef Ayman.

Moreover, absent from the squad will be wingers Omar Kamal, Taher Mohamed Taher, Mohamed Hani, and Moroccan midfielder Reda Selim due to injuries.

Midfielder Khaled Abdel-Fattah will also be sidelined for accumulating yellow cards.
