Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry demanded that his players "concentrate" during their upcoming African clash when the Red Devils will face Nigerian side Sunshine Stars in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals, set to be played on 6 October in Abuja.

The 52-year-old coach added that they should establish their qualification in Nigeria, without waiting for the results of the second leg in Cairo.

"We should decide our qualification in Nigeria," El-Badry was quoted as saying by Al-Ahram. "A victory or a draw away will frustrate our opponents and our mission in Cairo will be easier."

Sunshine Stars qualified for CAF Champions League semifinals after ending second in group A behind defending champions Esperance de Tunis.

El-Badry also warned his players about the Nigerian team, which, he said, would "put up a fierce fight" in order to achieve a good home result.

"The Sunshine Stars are looking to beat us in order to reach the finals. We must be cautious," the coach concluded.
