In a strategic shift this season, the league has adopted a single-round format. All 18 clubs will vie for a spot in the top nine to enter the title race.
Meanwhile, the bottom teams will battle to avoid relegation.
Pyramids FC currently lead the league with 42 points, three ahead of second-placed Ahly, while Zamalek are third with 32 points.
The league confirmed on Thursday that the title and relegation phases will begin on 11 March, with the Cairo derby between Ahly and Zamalek kicking off the competition.
Defending champions Ahly will face Pyramids FC in the second round, while Zamalek will play Haras El-Hodoud the following day.
The Egyptian Premier League's current season will conclude on 1 June.
