El-Ramady was named head coach late on Tuesday, replacing Portuguese manager Jose Peseiro following a disappointing run of form.
Zamalek are looking to bounce back after successive draws against Masry and NBE Club, which dented their title hopes.
They are third in the standings with 40 points, trailing leaders Pyramids FC by seven points and second-placed Ahly by six. Masry sit fourth with 35 points.
El-Ramady, 60, impressed with Aswan during the 2022/23 season and will aim to steady the ship despite injury setbacks.
He will be without Ahmed Jafeli, Mohamed Abdel-Shafi, Hamza Mathlouthi, and veteran playmaker Mahmoud “Shikabala” Abdel-Razek.
Top scorer Nasser Mansi and Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri are expected to lead the line for Zamalek as El Ramady looks to make an immediate impact.
Ceramica Cleopatra, sixth with 30 points, will be without injured Algerian midfielder Ahmed Kendouci. However, South African forward Fakhri Lakay is available for selection.
