Zamalek, Egypt Cup winners, and Masry, who ended the league competition in fourth place, will be representing Egypt in Africa’s secondary club competition for the second season in a row.
The White Knights and the Port-Said side will enter the competition in the second preliminary round as they were given byes based on their CAF club rankings.
Zamalek will meet the winner between Sudan’s Alzamala Umrawaba S.C. and Dekadaha FC of Somalia in the first preliminary round.
Meanwhile, Masry will meet the winner of the confrontation between Ethiopia’s Wolitta Dicha SC and the fourth-placed team of the Libyan League which ends Sunday.
The draw was held at the Azam Media Studios in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, with the presence of 58 clubs.
The preliminary round will be played over two legs on the weekends of 19–21 September and 26–28 September 2025.
The winners will advance to the second preliminary round on 17–19 October, with the return legs a week later from 24–26 October.
Last year, Zamalek and Masry were eliminated from the quarter-final of the Confederation Cup last after losing to South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC and Tanzanian giants Simba SC, respectively.
