Mohamed Sherif opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a powerful header inside the area.
Ahmed 'Zizo' Sayed doubled the lead in the 21st minute, also with a header, before adding a third in the 58th minute with a low strike after a brilliant assist from Achraf Bencharki.
Pharco FC pulled one back in the 70th minute through Mohamed Fakhri, who converted a follow-up from close range, capitalizing on an error by Ahly’s keeper Mostafa Shobeir to score in the empty net.
Substitute Gradisar sealed the win for Ahly nine minutes from full time with a brilliant finish against Pharco’s goalkeeper, scoring into an empty net.
Changes to the Starting XI
Ahly head coach Jose Riveiro made several changes to the starting XI, bringing in Alio Dieng, Achraf Bencharki, Achraf Dari, and Karim Fouad, who had been benched in the draw against Modern Sport.
Ahly dominated the first half, with Sherif coming close to scoring in the 9th minute with a powerful strike that grazed the bar.
In the 16th minute, VAR ruled out a goal by Mahmoud 'Trezeguet' Hassan for an offside on Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, who had provided the assist.
Pharco FC pushed for a second-half comeback and missed a clear chance in the 69th minute when Fakhri’s strike narrowly missed the left post.
A minute later, they pulled a goal back, but it was not enough to threaten Ahly's lead.
The match ended on a sour note for Ahly, with right-back Mohamed Hany shown a red card just before the final whistle, leaving the team to play out the remainder with 10 men.
Ahly’s next fixture will be against Ghazl El-Mahalla on Monday, 25 August, as they will be out of action during the third round of the league next week.
