The first leg ended goalless between the two sides at Tripoli International Stadium last week.

Abderrahim Deghmoum opened the scoring for Masry in the 19th minute to give the hosts an early lead.

Substitute Mahmoud Hamada doubled the advantage 15 minutes from time to hand Masry a ticket to the group stage. Al-Zahrouni pulled one back for Ittihad in stoppage time.

The Port Said side showed intent from the start as Salah Mohsen missed a clear chance in the ninth minute, sending a powerful strike narrowly wide of the left post.

Ittihad responded quickly with a long-range effort from Al-Shalalwi, which Masry goalkeeper Mahmoud Hamdy parried before Clementi fired the rebound over the bar.

Deghmoum made a solo run in the 19th minute, driving through midfield before unleashing a powerful shot into the net.

Masry started the second half cautiously as the Libyan side pushed forward in pursuit of a goal.

Coach Nabil Kouki introduced Mahmoud Hamada and Karim El Eraki for Mostafa Abou El-Kheir and Mounder Temine to refresh the midfield.

El Eraki thought to have doubled his team's lead but he was ruled offside.

Substitute Hamada sealed victory for Masry with a strike from inside the area that found the back of the net, easing the Port Said club into the group stage.

Masry were reduced to 10 men 10 minutes from time when Salah Mohsen was sent off for dissent.

Ittihad’s Al-Zahrouni netted a consolation goal in the final seconds of added time, firing a free kick from the edge of the area past Hamdy to end the match 2-1 in Masry’s favour.

The draw for the 2025-26 CAF Confederation Cup group stage will be held on 3 November, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
