Zamalek advanced to the Egypt Cup round of 16 after a 1-0 win over second-division side Baladeyet El-Mahalla in the round of 32 at Arab Contractors Stadium on Sunday.
Striker Nasser Mansi scored the winner just before halftime.
The defending champions will face Ceramica Cleopatra in the next round after Ceramica beat Abou Qeir lil Asmeda 2-0.
