Ahly denied on Saturday receiving any offers from UAE clubs to sign Egyptian player, Mohamed Abou-Treika, insisting that the veteran star is remaining with the club.

Reports claimed that the Red Devils' star received an offer from one of the UAE top clubs to provide his services on loan after the outstanding performance he delivered at the Egyptian national team training camp in the UAE.

"All these news are not true. We did not receive any offers for signing Abou-Treika on permanent basis or on loan," said Hady Khashaba, member of Ahly's Executive Committee, on the club's official website.

"Ahly does not intend to sell the player or even lend him, especially since his coach Hossam El-Badry is sticking with him. He is remaining with us and his contract will be renewed along with other players whose contracts will expire by the end of the new season," Khashaba added.

The 33-year old soccer player was called to play with the Egyptian national team in UAE, although he is banned to play with his home club, Ahly, for two months due to Abou-Treika's absence in the Egypt Super Cup game against ENPPI last month.

Abou-Treika has been Ahly’s most prominent star since joining the club from Tersana in 2004. He steered the club to win seven Egyptian Premier League titles, two Egypt Cup triumphs and three African Champions League wins among other minor accolades.
