Masry are third in Group D with seven points, one behind second-placed Zamalek and three adrift of group leaders Kaizer Chiefs following their narrow 2-1 defeat to the South African outfit last Sunday.

A draw or defeat would end their continental campaign, as they cannot depend on Zamalek dropping points against Kaizer Chiefs in the concurrent fixture.

Coach Nabil Kouki's squad arrive under significant physical strain after navigating a congested schedule that has combined domestic and continental commitments with minimal recovery time, despite implementing rotation, the team have been hampered by fatigue-related injuries in recent weeks.

"We are fully prepared for the match despite the intense fixture congestion and tight schedule," Kouki said at Friday's pre-match press conference.

"The players are at the highest level of focus and readiness, and we have great confidence in them. Our main objective is to secure victory tomorrow without looking at the result of the other match," the Tunisian tactician added.

ZESCO United, meanwhile, travel to Egypt buoyed by a morale-boosting 1-0 home win over Zamalek last Sunday.

Although the Zambian side are already eliminated from quarter-final contention with three points, they have proven capable of playing spoiler to the group's heavyweights.

In the reverse fixture in Ndola, Masry claimed a thrilling 3-2 victory over ZESCO, a result the Egyptians will be eager to replicate in front of their home supporters.
