Pyramids FC capped a flawless group-stage campaign with a commanding 3-1 triumph over Zambia's Power Dynamos at the Air Defense Stadium on Saturday, finishing top of CAF Champions League Group A with an unblemished record and 16 points.

Goals from Mostafa Zico, Youssef Obama and Brazilian winger Ewerton secured the comfortable victory for the Egyptian side, while Frederick Mulambia's first-half strike provided a brief consolation for the visitors, who departed the competition despite needing only a win to advance.

With qualification to the quarter-finals already assured ahead of the final matchday, Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić rotated his squad extensively to preserve his first-choice players.

Yet the makeshift lineup delivered a composed performance that underlined Pyramids' depth and tournament pedigree.

Power Dynamos began with urgency befitting their must-win situation.

The defending champions gradually wrested control and broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when Zico rose highest to meet a floated corner, powering a header into the roof of the net.

The hosts' joy was short-lived, as the visitors managed to equalize two minutes later through Frederick Mulambia, who fired a shot from close range to silence the home crowd, though Pyramids FC responded with authority.

Obama restored their advantage before the half-hour mark, collecting a clever reverse pass before firing low past the Dynamos' goalkeeper.

Jurčić's men dominated possession after the restart, patiently probing for openings against a tiring Zambian side.

Their persistence paid off midway through the second half when Ewerton capped a dazzling solo run with a clinical finish, cutting inside from the left flank and curling a right-footed shot into the far corner to seal the victory.

The result confirmed Pyramids as the only side in this season's Champions League to navigate the group stage without defeat, a feat underscoring their credentials as serious contenders for continental honours.

Morocco’s RS Berkane advanced to the knockout stage after clinching the second spot in the group with 10 points following their 3-0 victory over Rivers United of Nigeria on the other final game of the group.
