“Dari, from Egyptian club Ahly, has today signed a loan contract with Kalmar FF that extends until the summer break,” reads a statement on the club’s official website without disclosing financial details. However, Ahly hasn't announced the deal yet.
Since joining Ahly from French club Stade Brest in August 2024, Dari’s career with the Cairo giants was an Injury-plagued one as he suffered several injuries in different occasions; appearing only in 26 appearances in different competitions.
The 26-year old player, whose current contract with Ahly runs out till 2028, has been already removed from Ahly’s squad this winter to allow registering a new foreign player.
Dari, who began his professional career at Moroccan club Wydad AC, expressed his great delight to join Kalmar; promising to prove his worth.
“It feels really good to be here. I'm really looking forward to meeting my new teammates and playing in front of the fans,” Dari was quoted as saying by the club’s official website.
“I know that Kalmar has a great history and I will do everything I can to help the team. Hopefully we can achieve great things together and achieve good results in Allsvenskan,” the Moroccan international added.
Kalmar will be competing in the Swedish league that will kick off on 4 April as the team managed to qualify for the top flight competition after ending the second division last season in the second place.
