Ahly extend goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir's stay until 2029

Ahly have announced the contract extension of goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir until 2029, the Cairo giants said on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old, a product of Ahly's youth academy, has made 72 appearances since promoted to the first team in September 2019, conceding 46 goals during his career with the club.

Shobeir was Egypt's keeper at the 2026 World Cup, where the Pharaohs reached the round of 16.

The international keeper has made 15 appearances for the Egypt national team so far.

Shobeir has won 16 trophies with the Red Devils, including five Egyptian Premier League titles, three CAF Champions League trophies and four Egypt Cups.
