Egypt skipper Ahmed Hassan is cooperating with his former Belgium club Anderlecht to start a football academy in Egypt.
"Hassan is starting a football academy in Egypt and the best talent could then be used by Anderlecht," the official website of the Belgium side stated on Sunday.
The statement added that the project will be managed by Hassan’s personal companion Abdel Tantush, revealing that the player will attend the club’s match against KV Kortrijk on Sunday.
The 37-year-old, currently playing for Egyptian Zamalek, spent a successful spell between 2006 and 2008 serving the Purple and White logo in which he scored 20 goals in 56 matches, inspiring them to win many trophies including the 2007 Belgian League, the 2008 Belgian Cup and the 2007 Belgian Super Cup.
The former Kocaelispor, Denizlispor, Gençlerbirliği and Beşiktaş midfielder ended his Euro-trip when he joined Egyptian champions Ahly in 2008 before moving to their arch-rivals Zamalek last year.
