Kuwait's Al-Arabi show interest in Ahly's Meteb

Kuwaiti side Al-Arabi are interested on signing Ahly's international striker in the winter transfer window

Al-Arabi's president Gamal Al-Kazmy said on Monday that the Kuwaiti side is considering signing Ahly's international striker as the club is looking for a classy striker.

"There are some talks with the Egyptian player," Al-Kazmy told Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Watan.

"We are considering offering a six-month loan offer for the player next January especially with the uncertainty which surround the Egyptian league's fate, " he added.

The Egyptian league was called-off after the Port Said disaster which left more than 70 killed a hundreds of injuries in February, and Egyptian security has not yet given permission for resumption.

Meanwhile Meteb admitted Al-Arabi's talks, and added he would consider the offer but after the African final.

Ahly are waiting for a tough game on Saturday when they will meet Tunisian side in Rades on the second leg of the champions League final.

The Red Devils are looking to overcome their 1-1 draw in the first leg in Alexandria as they fight to win their seventh African title.

"There are no problems for me to play in Kuwait but the most important thing now is the African final and I am focusing on this crucial game." the 29-year-old striker told Ahram Sports.
