Ahly playmaker Walid Soliman is doubtful for February's African Super Cup match against Leopards from Congo after undergoing a successful knee surgery, the Cairo giants announced late on Tuesday.
"Soliman underwent a successful surgery to fix the damage in his knee cartilage," Ahly revealed in a statement on its official website.
Earlier this month, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially announced the possible dates for the African Super Cup match between Champions League winners Ahly and Confederation Cup heroes Leopards.
Ahly was informed that the match will be held in Egypt on 22, 23 or 24 February.
"Soliman will be doubtful for the African Super Cup match as he will be out of action for at least two months," added the Cairo giants statement.
Despite suffering knee pain, the Pharaohs player preferred to postpone the surgery until the club finishes its recent participation in the Club World Cup where they ended the tournament in fourth place.
