Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry has said his side are in a difficult group in the Egyptian Premier League, but they will continue working until the end of the season.
Ahly, who won the league’s last edition in 2011, were drawn in Group A along with ENPPI, Haras El-Hodoud, Ghazl El-Mahalla, Beni Suef Telephones, Wadi Degla, Maqassa, Smouha and Gouna.
''We play in a very difficult group but the team will compete until the end of the season," El-Badry was quoted as saying on the club's official website on Thursday.
The Cairo giants are scheduled to face ENPPI, who smashed the Group A leaders Haras El-Hodoud 4-0 on Wednesday, on the 7th match day of the Egyptian Premier league on Sunday.
"The game against ENPPI is expected to be difficult but we will fight until the end of the season as we don't want to wait for the other teams' results," he added.
African Champions Ahly are third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 9 points, three behind leaders ENPPI who have played one more match than Ahly.
