Ahly's goalless draw at Tunisia's Bizertin in the African Champions League is satisfying but it does not put the team in a comfortable position to reach the group stage, coach Hossam El-Badry said on Sunday.

The Red Devils, helped by some late saves from goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy, held Bizertin to a draw in a scrappy game in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.

"A draw was one of the satisfying results I had in mind, but we are not in comfortable position yet," El-Badry said on Ahly's official website following the match, which took place before a limited number of 1,500 fans at Stade 15 Octobre.

"The second leg will not be easy … because a 0-0 draw is a double-edged sword. I hoped we would be able to score an away goal that would have made our task much easier in the return match."

Ahly, who won last year's Champions League title after beating Tunisian side Esperance in the final, are eyeing a record-extending eighth triumph in Africa's elite club competition.
