Egyptian Premier League title-holders Ahly are ready for ENPPI match Friday in round 16 of the extraordinary edition of the competition.
The Cairo-based clubs are leading Group A with 30 points, four before ENPPI and seven before runner-ups Bani Swaif Telephones second.
"ENPPI is a very well-organized team and their matches with Ahly are usually tough and enthusiastic," said Ahly care-taking coach Mohamed Youssef early this week on the club's official website.
Youssef has signed a three-month contract Thursday to fill Hossam El-Badry's position that surprisingly moved to Libya to lead Ahly Tripoli early this month.
The Reds left-wingers Sayed Mowad and Ahmed Shedid are both announced to be fit and ready for the game after recovering from minor injuries.
It is the 21st league clash between the two sides and their most outstanding game was the second one when the Petroleum club, newly-joined at this time, won 1-0 in the final of the league enabling Ahly's archrivals Zamalek to clinch the title.
Defending champions Ahly, who are eyeing an eighth consecutive league crown, are targeting their eighth successive victory although they have already secured a spot in the mini-league round as two from each group qualify.
The Friday's match kicks off at 17:45 CLT (GMT+2)
