Ahly's midfielder Mohamed Barakat denied on Thursday alleged rumours of retirement at the end of the season.
"I have not decided if I will retire or not," Barakat told reporters after Thursday's training. "But I am certain that I will never play for another club in Egypt other than Ahly."
"There are some offers from Gulf clubs but, it is not likely that I will accept such a move," he added.
Several reports on Wednesday suggested that the veteran midfielder, whose contract with the club will expire at the end of this season, will not renew his contract with the Red Devils.
Barakat's agent said on a TV program Wednesday that his client will announce his retirement at the end of this season.
Barakat, who arrived to Ahly in the summer of 2004, became one of the club's icons, helping the club win seven league titles and four Champions League titles.
