Raja earned promotion to the Egyptian Premier league for the first time in their history after they beat Tanta 1-0 on Wednesday on the last day of a second-division playoff.
The little-known club, who are based in Marsa Matrouh governorate, close to the Egyptian-Libyan border, secured passage to the elite Premier League in dramatic fashion.
They were fourth before facing Tanta but capitalised on a slip-up by three of their competitors to finish on top and advance to the elite Premier League via a better head-to-head record over Tanta after both sides finished level on eight points.
Raja became the second club to seal Premier League promotion after Menya.
