Egyptian club Zamalek ended their training camp in Syria and are scheduled to fly to Tunisia on Wednesday to face Club Africain in the first-leg of their Champions League match.
The Cairo giants, whose starting line-up includes recently transfered striker Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’, eased past Syrian side Hittien 3-0 on Monday, thanks to goals from Algerian forward Mohamed Audia, who opened the scoring after 14 minutes, and two second-half strikes from Ahmed Gaafar and Alaa Ali.
Dynamic striker Amr Zaki, who has overcome his persistent knee injury, awaits manager Hossam Hassan's green light to join Zamalek’s squad ahead of the anticipated encounter.
The White Knights, who have claimed the Champions League title five times, last won Africa’s premier competition in 2002.
