Egyptian club Wadi Degla have decided to offload all their players after the cancelation of the Egyptian Premier League season.

"Wadi Degla have sent an empty squad list for the new season after parting ways with all players to avoid paying their financial dues following the league cancelation," state news agency MENA reported late on Friday.

"The club president have set only LE400,000 for any player who want to sign a new contract which was not accepted by all players.”

Egypt's football season was called off last year in the wake of the Port Said stadium massacre which left more than 70 Ahly fans dead in a game between Ahly and Masry.

This season was also cancelled due to security concerns following the 30 June demonstrations.

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) recently announced that the domestic league new season will include 22 teams divided into two groups, but didn't identify a definite start date.

Before the league stoppage, Wadi Degla was seventh in the league's Group A table with 14 points, 25 behind leaders Ahly.
