Zamalek Coach Helmy Tolan reveals Monday that their key player, midfielder Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malek, will be doubtful for the CAF Champions League game against South Africa's Orlando Pirates set for Saturday.

"Abdel-Malek sustained a knee injury during Sunday's trainings and he might miss the Orlando Pirates game," Tolan told a press conference on Monday.

"The medical staff are racing time to prepare Abdel-Malek for the game, but it will be difficult due to the seriousness of his injury," he added.

Zamalek will face Orlando Pirates of South Africa in the third matchday of the CAF Champions League group stage Saturday.

South Africa's Orlando Pirates are currently leading Group A with one goal difference with the Leopards, both of which have four points, while Ahly and rivals Zamalek have a point each.
