Ahly striker Emad Meteb is likely to be ready for the Orlando Pirates clash in the CAF Champions League group stage on 22 September.
"Meteb will undergo a rehabilitation program after recovering from his back injury," Ahly Doctor Ehab Ali told the club's official website Monday.
"He is most likely to be fit for Orlando, as he has already started light training," he added.
Ahly, who have seven points after four rounds, will play arch-rivals Zamalek on 15 September in an attempt to secure their passage to the semi-finals of Africa’s elite competition.
After four rounds, Ahly are level with South Africa's Pirates with seven points at the top of Group A, three ahead of Congo's AC Leopards and Zamalek, who both have four points each.
