The youth defender signs a five-year contract with Zamalek

Zamalek strengthened their defense after signing Egypt U-20 defender Yasser Ibrahim from Mansoura.

The 20-year-old penned a five-year contract with the Cairo giants on Monday, the club announced on their website.

Ibrahim is one of the hottest prospects in the Egyptian football and he made a fine impact during his participation with Egypt in the U-20 FIFA World Cup earlier this year.

Zamalek's fragile backline saw them concede 12 goals in six matches during their disappointing African Champions League group-stage campaign.
