Etoile Sahel (2005)
In the African Champions League final second-leg at home to Tunisia’s Etoile Sahel, Abou-Treika opened the scoring with a right-foot thunderbolt after 20 minutes.
Ahly went on to win 3-0 and claim the title.
Ivory Coast (2006)
After the game ended goalless following extra-time, Abou-Treika converted the decisive penalty with aplomb to give Egypt the African Cup of Nations title at the expense of Ivory Coast.
Sfaxien (2006)
A goal which he described as his favourite in his career, Abou-Treika gave Ahly the 2006 African Champions League title in stunning fashion.
His volley found the bottom corner in stoppage time as the Red Devils overcame Tunisia’s Sfaxien 2-1 on aggregate to lift the trophy.
Club America (2006)
A neat exchange of passes between Abou-Treika and Angolan striker Flavio Amado saw the veteran schemer rifle home on 79 minutes to help Ahly defeat Mexico’s Club America 2-1 and finish third in the Club World Cup.
Zamalek (2007)
Zamalek were on the verge of winning the Egypt Cup when Abou-Treika struck from close range two minutes from time to make the score 2-2 and force an extra time. Ahly went on to win 4-3 in a thrilling final.
Cameroon (2008)
With Egypt struggling to break down Cameroon in a cagey African Nations Cup final, Abou-Treika made the difference once again after neatly finishing off a breakaway with 13 minutes remaining to give Egypt the title.
Orlando Pirates (2013)
After holding the South African outfit 1-1 in the first leg of the Champions League final, Abou-Treika put Ahly in front at home with a trademark poacher’s strike in the 54th minute as the Cairo giants went on to win 2-0 and claim a record-extending eighth title.
